Nigtmare on attribute street.

Catching up on my blogs after the weekend, the Ajaxian blog led me to this interesting post on Tobie Langel’s blog.

Basically, there are a few issues in the way different browsers return results from a getAttribute call. I fell foul of this several times in the past, and didn’t really understand how I could get the result I wanted on some things and not on others… Tobi sheds some light onto this in his blog on the matter.

The good news is that enhancements to the prototype library will be introducing the readAttribute function which should provide a way out of the chaos and clean up some more cross browser development issues.
